As part of our preparation of students for terminal GCSE exams we will be running an exam week for Year 9 students. This will run from Monday 29th April to Friday 3rd May as per the school calendar. Within this week students will be examined on all of their courses. Students will receive their individual timetables to allow them to plan their revision.
To ensure parents and students are as informed as possible we will be running a study skills and information session on Tuesday April 9th in the school hall from 4.15pm – 5.30pm. The session will cover study skills and revision strategies and how as parents you can perhaps support your child. As part of our attempts to increase parental engagement in sessions like this we are trialling an alternative time rather than our usual 6pm/7pm and a slightly less formal set up in the hall with tea and coffee available. We do hope you and your child will be able to join us – please complete the tear off slip below to indicate whether or not you are able to attend.
If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

We’re in The Press! History lessons are amazing when they are truly brought to life. Thanks so much to the veterans and @EverwitchTC for reminding us to concentrate on the future but never forget the past. twitter.com/yorkpres…
Congratulations to our wonderful SlamJam team! Their beautiful and passionate poetry got them all the way to the final. We may not have won this year, but the experience was fantastic and we’ll be back next year. Our @Barlby_High girls were a credit to us. #poetry#SlamJam2019pic.twitter.com/XOVG…
