At Barlby High School we want all students to flourish and achieve their potential. As a school, we are committed to enabling our students to do this not only by providing them with the very best opportunities during their time with us, but also by equipping them with as much information, advice and guidance about their future choices and progression routes as possible.
Our students have access to careers guidance and information from their first day with us in Year 7 until they move on to further education or training after their examinations in Year 11. We work hard to ensure that all lessons are free from all forms of stereotyping to ensure that all students consider the full range of careers and possible post-14, post-16 and post-18 options.
All Year 11 students will have the opportunity to attend a careers guidance appointment with Mrs Janis Wilson, our independent Careers Advisor and students in other year groups can request an interview at any time during the year by speaking to their form tutor.

Yr 9 Girls 5-a-side Football.beat Barlby 5-4 Selby. Great keeping from Beth Harrison kept us in the game in the first 10 mins, some great finishes and a hatrick from Chloe Ma put Barlby 4-0. 4 Selby goals put put the result in doubt before a 5th sealed a Barlby win. @Barlby_High
