Many thanks for your patience as we’ve been planning for this next half term. Many students have engaged extremely well with their home learning today and students in school have also engaged with the same work. In order to keep transmission rates low, the numbers of staff and children in schools need to be kept a minimum. We’ve had small numbers of children of critical workers and places have been prioritised for vulnerable children, who are expected to attend school full time.
Another week done - well done students, parents and staff @Barlby_High. Tried to go for a walk to accumulate my @BarlbyWellbeing Race Across the World miles but everywhere is flooded! This was York Racecourse at 4pm today.... pic.twitter.com/oYB5…
Love teaching 8L the Great War - they are just so engaged! Today we discussed 'Soldiers of Empire' using material from @DavidOlusoga's 'The World's War'. Tomorrow we continue by learning the stories of the Chinese Labourers, Ganga Singh & the Algerian forces. @Barlby_High
